Palava

Challenge:

The client needed a comprehensive and values-driven e-commerce platform to sell their colourful vintage-style clothing, homeware, and accessories for women, men, children, and the home all ethically made in the UK using organic cotton, tencel, and linen with plastic-free packaging. Their existing setup lacked a platform capable of managing an extensive catalog spanning multiple product categories and audiences, while also communicating their sustainability story, circular economy initiatives, fabric-by-the-metre offering, London physical shop, and workshops all within a cohesive and distinctly British lifestyle brand experience.

Solution Implemented:

We developed a fully featured lifestyle e-commerce platform for Palava on Shopify, organized across eight primary sections . The platform also includes a Pre-loved trade-in programme, a Natural History Museum collaboration collection, repair workshop booking, sewing workshops and events, a sustainability blog, a seasonal print showcase, stockist finder, gift vouchers, and a London shop page all reflecting Palava’s commitment to ethical, joyful, and sustainable British fashion.

Technology Stack Used:

Shopify, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Liquid (Shopify Templating), REST APIs, Cloud Hosting (Shopify CDN)

Impact & Results:

  • Extensive multi-audience catalog spanning Women, Men, Children, Homeware, and Accessories
  • Named dress style collections for brand-led product discovery
  • Hatchery Made range using leftover fabric circular fashion integrated into the main store
  • Pre-loved trade-in programme enabling customers to return and shop sustainably
  • Heritage Collection featuring wool knitwear, waxed cotton trench coats, and tweed jackets
  • Fabric by the Metre section with sewing inspiration and making ideas blog
  • Natural History Museum collaboration collection for limited-edition exclusive prints
  • Repair workshop and sewing events booking integrated into the platform
  • Sustainability blog and Hatchery Newsletter for community-driven brand engagement
  • London physical shop page and stockist finder for omnichannel retail support
  • Global shipping with multi-country selector for international reach
